GAO’s BLE gateways are devices that enable communication between BLE devices and other networks such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular. They act as a bridge between BLE devices and other networks, allowing BLE devices to communicate with local servers or cloud servers.
The general workflow of our BLE gateway involves the following steps:
Scanning- GAO BLE gateway scans for nearby BLE beacons and collects information such as device ID, signal strength, and data services offered by the device.
Connection- Our BLE gateway establishes a connection with the target BLE beacon based on the information collected during the scanning phase.
Data Collection- Once the connection is established, GAO’s BLE gateway may read and write data to/from the BLE beacon.
Data Processing- GAO BLE gateway processes the data according to predefined rules, filters, or logic, and prepares it for transmission over the network.
Network Transmission- The processed data is transmitted over the network using a protocol such as MQTT, HTTP, or TCP/IP, to a local server or cloud server for further processing, analysis, or storage using our BLE gateways.
Feedback- The local server or cloud server may send feedback to our BLE gateway based on the data received, which can trigger further actions, such as sending commands to the BLE beacons or updating the gateway's configuration.

BLE radio module- This module provides the Bluetooth connectivity between the gateway and our BLE beacons such as badges, and wrist bands. It communicates with the BLE devices using the BLE protocol and passes the data to the rest of the gateway.
Processing Unit- This is the core module of this gateway. This component handles the data processing and communication with other networks or devices. It typically includes a microcontroller or microprocessor and memory for storing the firmware and data.
Networking module- The gateway may include networking technologies like Wi-Fi, Ethernet, cellular, or Zigbee to enable communication with other local or cloud servers. These modules allow our gateway to transmit
Power supply- This component provides power to our gateway. It can be a battery, AC adapter, an external power source or a combination.
Firmware- This is the software that runs on the processor and provides the gateways functionality. It includes the BLE stack, network stack and any other software required for the specific implementation.
Antenna- The antenna is used to transmit and receive data between the BLE devices and our gateway. The antenna can be either integrated or external, depending on the design of the gateway.
Enclosure- The gateway is housed in an enclosure, which may be made of plastic or metal and designed for indoor or outdoor use. It protects the internal components from external elements and provides a means for mounting the gateway in a specific location.
