Rugged / IP Rated RFID Readers
Browse our selection of rugged and IP Rated RFID readers. IP stands for Ingress (the act of entering) Protection. An IP rating is usually a two-digit grading system that measures the sealing effectiveness of an electronic enclosure, showing customers a clear indication of the item’s resistance to various types of intrusions such as dust, moisture, and dirt. Many of our IP rated readers are ranked well with protection ratings of IP65, IP54, etc. The first digit of an IP rating is a number between 0 and 6, which indicates the degree of protection from ingress of solid objects. The second digit in an IP rating is a number between 0 and 9 which states the quality of resistance to moisture ingress at varying intensities. Showing that our IP rated readers are high quality and can withstand a variety of ingress. IP-rated readers are perfect for outdoor use and due to their combined rugged build are also able to withstand rough handling outdoors.
