BLE-Based Parking Control System

Overview 

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology is transforming parking control systems by enabling efficient, real-time management of parking spaces. With adjustable system ranges of up to about 900 ft (300 meters) indoors and about 4,921 ft (1,500 meters) outdoors, BLE systems are flexible enough to meet the needs of various parking environments. Unlike traditional RFID systems, BLE offers superior range, lower power consumption, and longer battery life, making it a more efficient solution for parking management. 

In a BLE parking control system, gateways are strategically placed to maximize coverage in parking facilities, while BLE beacons are installed in each parking space or mounted in areas where precise monitoring is required. These beacons, which can be as thin as 0.06 in (1.5 mm) and weigh as little as 0.042 oz (1.2 g), provide reliable location data over extended periods due to their battery life of up to 10 years.
